Founded in 1986, California-based MSB Technology has a long history of contracted research in the area of digital product development for uncompromising clients around the world. The fruits of this research and development are incorporated into their own line of ultra high performance audio equipment which includes state-of-the-art digital-to-analog converters (DACs), an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), bit-perfect digital transports, extremely accurate digital clocks, and pure Class A amplifiers.

With brothers Jonathan, an electrical engineer, and Daniel, a mechanical engineer, taking the company reigns from their father, Larry Gullman, MSB Technology is heading in a fresh and bold new direction. First came the unmatched Select DAC II with its minimalist styling, flawless build quality, constant-impedance analog preamplifier section, and new hybrid ladder DAC modules which have set a new standard for the lifelike playback of digital media. The Select DAC II is now joined by the Reference DAC which shares its elegant, modular design approach as well as much of its digital DNA and world-leading sonic performance.
